Melon Pop is part of the Float Collection, a playful series of one-of-a-kind handbound notebooks made with Wild Root Studio’s custom-recycled handmade paper. I create unique color palettes and paper thicknesses from recycled pulp, then individually compose the front and back collage covers with layers of overlapping shapes and rich, tactile textures. Because every sheet and placement is done by hand, no two books in the collection are ever alike.

Inspired by the sweet, vibrant memory of a fizzy watermelon soda poured over a thick vanilla scoop, Melon Pop is unapologetically fun. Playing with high contrast and oversized shapes, the soft green and pink cover is scattered with playful little dots like scattered seeds and rising carbonation. It is a vibrant, graphic statement piece designed to make your daily journaling feel like an absolute treat.
Bound by hand with the traditional Coptic stitch, each notebook opens completely flat for a beautiful, seamless experience for writing, journaling, sketching, and collecting ideas.
